Very little. Open interior doors, cabinets, and closets so the fog can circulate. Turn off any air purifiers. We'll handle setting up the equipment, sealing the work area, and shutting down your HVAC for the treatment.

Do I need to take paintings, photos, or wall art down before treatment?

No. The dry fog doesn't stain, run, or leave residue. Photos, paintings, mirrors, and decor can all stay in place.

What about fruit or food left out on the counter?

We recommend putting fresh fruit, baked goods, and uncovered food into the fridge or a sealed container — not because the treatment is dangerous, but because it's good practice. Packaged and refrigerated food is fine as-is.

How long before I can re-enter my home?

Most Fresno and Clovis treatments wrap inside a single day. After the treatment and a short clearance ventilation period, you can typically re-enter the same evening. We'll give you a specific re-entry time before we start.

Yes. The sterilant we use is professional-grade and breaks down into water and oxygen — no harsh residue, no lingering odor. Occupants and pets simply leave during the active treatment and dwell time. Yes. The 7-micron particle size lets the dry fog move like a gas — through outlets, switch plates, vents, and small gaps. That's the entire point: it treats the cavities a wipe or scrub can't reach.

Will I need to clean everything after the treatment?

No. The sterilant breaks down without residue, so there's nothing to wipe off. Some clients like to wipe high-touch surfaces out of habit; it isn't necessary.

Does the treatment affect bugs?

No — it's a mold and microbial sterilant, not an insecticide. If you're dealing with pests, you'll want a separate pest-control specialist.

What will the mold look like after the treatment?

Treatment sanitizes the mold but doesn't make stains disappear. Discoloration on drywall, grout, or wood may still be visible — it's now inert. If cosmetic restoration matters, we can recommend a painter or finish carpenter.

How long does the treatment last?

Treatment results last indefinitely as long as the original moisture problem is solved. The protective second-stage fog leaves an antimicrobial barrier on treated surfaces that resists regrowth. Bring water back into the home — through a new leak, flood, or chronic humidity — and you can re-grow mold the same as anyone else.
